Who else sees it
We share personal data only where it is needed to answer you or to move a shipment. Recipients may include:
- Netlify — hosting of this website and delivery of form submissions to us.
- Google — the site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is visible to Google when the page is rendered.
- WhatsApp (Meta) — if you choose to contact us through the WhatsApp button, that conversation is processed under Meta's own terms.
- Counterparties and service providers involved in your order — producers, freight forwarders, inspection companies, insurers and banks, where an enquiry becomes a shipment.
- Professional advisers and authorities — accountants, auditors, customs and regulators, where we are required to disclose.
Some of these recipients are located outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where that is the case, transfers are made under the UK International Data Transfer Agreement, the UK Addendum, or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to a contract — up to 24 months from your last message, after which they are deleted.
- Records connected to a concluded contract — up to 7 years after the end of the business relationship, to satisfy tax, accounting and anti-money-laundering requirements.
- Server logs — retained by our hosting provider for a short period as part of routine security monitoring.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR and the EU GDPR you may ask us to:
- confirm what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy
- correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- delete data we no longer have a lawful reason to keep
- restrict how we use it, or object to processing based on our legitimate interests
- transfer data you gave us to another provider in a machine-readable format
Write to bb@boobixgroup.com and we will respond within one month. Exercising these rights is free of charge.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to a supervisory authority: in the United Kingdom, the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in Cyprus, the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (dataprotection.gov.cy).
Security
The site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to enquiries is limited to the people in our team who need it to answer you. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please avoid sending confidential commercial documents through the enquiry form — we will agree a secure channel with you once we are in contact.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting people we already correspond with will be notified by email.
